Come and enjoy a casual get-together with fellow CAC members and help celebrate this seasons’ trophy recipients. Picnic food and sausage sizzle, provided by the Club. Pre-season Drinks & Nibbles
To help kick-start the season, the social sub-committee are inviting you to the Club's Pre-season social get-together. Join for the whole event or just pop in for a quick hello! Everyone welcome - members, waiters, juniors, youth and adults. There is no cost to attend, however you will need to register. Drinks and snacks available to purchase from the bar. Postponed – (Winter Warmer)
Jindabyne lodge 3 Banjo Paterson Cres, NSW, AustraliaThis event has been postponed. Due to delays in completion of the Jindabyne work, the Jindabyne lodge is not expected to reopen for the June long weekend. As a result, the Winter Warmer will not go ahead... although we will look at the possibility of a Spring Warmer instead!
Ken & Jill 40th Anniversary Soiree
Please join us to help thank Ken and Jill for forty years of dedicated service to members, in their roles as managers at Perisher Lodge! (Hot tip - combine the CAC event with the Peak Festival) Drop in and/or stay. Sip on a cocktail or enjoy an hors d’oeuvres, whilst celebrating with Jill & Ken. Brumby Cup Races & Dinner
Perisher Ski Resort Kosciuszko Rd, Perisher Valley, NSW, AustraliaSaturday 24th August The Canberra Alpine Club Brumby Races 2024 (dual slalom) - The Brumby Races is an unusual event, as it's run as a dual slalom, and is usually set on Upper Roller Coaster or another course that less experienced racers can tackle. One timed run on the red course and one on the blue course - the top racers then "race off" for the Presidents Cup. The Brumby Cup, however, is decided at dinner that evening, with a random draw to pair up men and women - with the fastest combined time winning the Brumby Cup.
