About us
Our club
The Canberra Alpine Club was established in 1934 to promote snowsports and other alpine activities.
We’re a welcoming and friendly club, with up to 600 members from all walks of life who share a common love of the Australian alpine environment.
We enjoy a range of winter and summer activities, including alpine and cross-country skiing, snowboarding, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, and more.
We support members of all ages to improve their snowsports ability, with members regularly competing in regional and national competition, and some reaching Olympic level.
Our lodges
We have two wonderful self-catering lodges.
Our Jindabyne lodge is right on the lake, within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants.
Our Perisher lodge is perfectly located on the slopes of Perisher resort, next to the Telemark T-bar.
Both lodges offer a combination of family and twin rooms (some with ensuites), and have spacious communal kitchens, living, and dining areas.
They’re the perfect places to enjoy a relaxed, social atmosphere and stunning views in every season.
